February 20, (THEWILL) – The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has been conferred with the Fellowship Award of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, the institution’s highest honorary recognition.
The award was presented by the Rector, Dr. M.A. Akinde, during the 45th Founder’s Day Anniversary and 22nd Convocation Ceremony** held at the institution in Ilaro, Ogun State.
The prestigious fellowship is traditionally reserved for distinguished personalities of Ogun State origin who have made significant contributions to national development.
Keyamo, whose maternal roots trace back to Yewa, was honoured for his transformative strides in the aviation sector and his broader contributions to national growth.
Beyond his professional achievements, the recognition also highlights his deep connections to the Ilaro community, as his father and grandfather had strong ties to the town.
In his acceptance speech, Keyamo expressed gratitude to the institution for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to education, infrastructure, and economic growth as key pillars of national progress.
The ceremony attracted an array of distinguished personalities, underscoring the significance of the recognition.
