February 21, (THEWILL) – The Zazu singer, Habib Okikiola, aka Portable, has promised to leave his life of crime behind, following his release on bail.
On Thursday, the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta granted Portable bail set at two million naira after he pleaded not guilty to charges, including conspiracy, assault, possession of dangerous weapons, and disorderly conduct.
Portable was arrested by the Police Command in Ogun State for allegedly attacking police officers and inflicting injuries on them.
After his release, the singer promised his fans on social media that he would stop looking for trouble and instead focus on making money. He said he needed the money to pay his Two million naira bail debt.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, he addressed his fans in Yoruba. Translated to English, he said.
“My fans, Thank God for everything. If you have God, you have everything. I need money. I am not looking for trouble anymore. I am now focused on making money. I have a 2 million bail debt. I need more money. I am looking for money.”
