Understanding the culture and environment of the Na'vi in sufficient depth to come up with idiomatic expressions in their language that appropriately reflect life on Pandora.
What is something surprising about your job that most people might not know?
The Na'vi language has been embraced by dedicated fans around the world who use it for genuine communication. I regularly receive texts, emails, and comments written entirely in Na'vi!
What was your favorite memory/most exciting thing of working on Avatar: The Way of Water?
Hearing Zoe Saldaña sing “The Songcord” so movingly.
Is there a detail from Avatar: The Way of Water you want fans to know?
The Reef People speak their own dialect which is somewhat different from what is spoken by the characters in the first film.

I'm a classically trained pianist, and I've enjoyed making music with other musicians at both house concerts and public venues around town.
