The banshee’s tail is a flower-like flora adapted to the breezy conditions of the Veldt. The single stemless bloom is composed of thick, leathery petals that protect it from more turbulent elements, while a web of deep roots anchors the plant in place.

Long and flexible appendages grow from the center of the bloom, terminating in brush-like stamen that emit an abundance of spores into the breeze. These appendages strongly resemble the tail of the banshee, although whether this resemblance to the flying predator acts as a deterrent to other wildlife is unknown.

The plant’s spores are exceptionally light and feathery, allowing them to float for hundreds of miles in the right weather conditions.
