Lift Vine
Lift Vines are carnivorous plants that grow in high places such as tall vines and cliff edges. They have strong roots that hold them in place, allowing them to withstand rough weather conditions and carry immense weights.
Within each plant cluster is a pod containing a vine which can extend all the way down to the ground. At the end of this vine, a brightly colored bulb acts as bait to insects. Surrounding the bulb are reactive tentacles, which trap and pull up insects to digest within the pod.
Lift Vines can be found in one of two states: with their vine extended or retracted. The retracted state occurs when the vine is touched, threatened, or in the process of digestion. When in this state, contact or pressure on the pod will cause the release of the vine once again, ready to grab its next meal. However, this does not interfere with the plant’s digestion process.
